Joseph “Joe” Wayne Bruggeman, Jr., age 56, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Joe was born in Jefferson, Missouri, on October 7, 1966, to Joseph Bruggeman, Sr., and the late Sharon (Phillips) Bruggeman.

He was a member of the Ashland City Church of Christ. Joe served his country in the United States Air Force and most recently worked as an equipment mechanic for Metro. He loved the great outdoors, especially camping with his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Bruggeman.

Joe is survived by his wife, Laura (Steemken) Bruggeman; father, Joseph Bruggeman, Sr.; daughters, Becca (Nick) Hagler and Jessica (Ryan Magsam) Bruggeman; sisters, Tammy (Lloyd) Mangrum and Bonnie Bruggeman; and grandchildren, Nolan Magsam, Tyler Hagler, Connor Hagler, and Kinsey Magsam.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 20, 2023, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Drake Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Joelton Hills Memory Gardens in Joelton, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm and Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10 am until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Bruggeman, Nick Hagler, Ryan Magsam, Lloyd Mangrum, Mike Steemken, and Chad Steemken.
