Laura Jo Legon, age 73, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on February 25, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Jesse Warren and Becky Lucille (Johnson) Warren.
She attended Friendship Free Will Baptist Church. Laura worked as a Certified Nurse Tech. There was nothing she loved more than being Nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Becky Warren; husband, Ollie Leon Legon, Sr.; son, James Lofton Woodard; brother, Thomas Warren; grandson, Dustin Tozer; and great grandson, Zachary Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Ollie Leon Legon, Jr. (Stephanie) and Danny Ray Legon; daughters, Tammy Tozer (David) and Cathy Nelson; brothers, Ricky Warren, Robert Warren, and Mike Warren; sisters, Peggy Presley and Teresa Allen; 23 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 12noon to 6pm and Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10am until the service hour of 2pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Hannah, Travis Snyder, Danny Legon, Jr., Steven Legon, David Tozer, Jr., and Robert Snyder.
