Leonard Kenneth Schubert, 90, of Nashville, Tennessee departed this life on May 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 27, 1936, in Kingston, Tennessee to the late James “J.L.” Leonard Schubert and Hazel (Vann) Schubert. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie “Marie” Schubert; son, Kenny Schubert; daughter, Margie Schubert; brothers, James Schubert, Johnny Schubert, Bobby Schubert, and Jerry Schubert; and sisters, Willy Clyde Davis, Margaret Pelfrey, Betty Davis, and Robbie Lucille Schubert.
Kenneth proudly served in the National Guard. He spent more than 20 years working as a dedicated truck driver and was a skilled equipment mechanic for Metro.
He leaves behind his son, Samuel Schubert; daughter, Janet Thompson (Robert); brothers, Jackie Schubert (Carolyn), Melvin Schubert (Roberta), and Joey Schubert (Mildred); grandchildren, Wendy England, Jason Schubert, Joshua Thompson (Allison), Lucas Thompson (April), John Thompson, Jessica Schubert (Justin Brown), and Adam Schubert; and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Schubert and Pastor Larry Cornett officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens in Crossville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 1pm to 6pm and Monday, May 25, 2026, from 10am until the service hour of 11am.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Schubert, Joshua Thompson, Lucas Thompson, John Thompson, Adam Schubert, and Allen England.
