Marty Joe King, age 62, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Marty was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 10, 1962, to the late Joe Morris King and Emma Jean (Musser) King. He was a commercial painter for Miller Hand Painting and loved watching westerns. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Emma Jean King; and brothers, Vernon Spicer and Steve Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle King; son, Charlie (Tracey) Wilkerson; daughters, Tabatha (David) McNeil, Winter (Kevin) Anderson, and Hope King; brothers, Virgil (Carolyn) Spicer and Harold “Jimmy” Brooks; sisters, Sheila (Ronald) Wright and Teresa Lewis; 12 grandchildren, David (Autumn) McNeil, Tyler McNeil, Evan McNeil, Maranda McNeil, Robert McNeil, Kobe Wilkerson, Natalie (Timmy) Kern, Owen Wilkerson, Alexis Anderson, Kaylee Anderson, Nick Anderson, Izabella Nicholson; and 2 great-grandchildren, David McNeil IV and Caroline Kern.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Monroe Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4th from 4pm to 8pm and on Wednesday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12:30pm.
Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Hargrove, Larry Gibbs, Kenny Nelson, John Burrum, Jimmy Holt, Mikey Baker, Vernon Spicer and Marty Musser.
