Melissa Diana Murphy, age 53, passed away on May 10, 2022, at her home in Ashland City surrounded by her loving family.
Melissa was born in Nashville, on June 17th, 1968, to the late William Robert Taylor and Judy Harris (Holcomb).
She is preceded in death by William Robert Taylor and her mother Judy Harris and her brother Wesley Paul Ferrell.
Melissa was a doting, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to her family. She was always welcoming and extended a helpful hand and ear to anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Terry Murphy; son, Michael (Maegan) Murphy; daughter, Tabitha (Brian) Collins; 4 grandchildren: Piper Morris, Sadie Murphy, Owen Murphy, and Mason Shaye Collins; father, Wayne Harris; sister, Renee (Michael) Rayburn; and loving niece Kassie Ferrell.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 3 pm with Phillip McGahey officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11th, from 3 pm to 7 pm and on Thursday, May 12th from 11 am until service hour of 3 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Collins, Michael Rayburn, Ray Murphy, Larry Murphy, Curtis Murphy Sr., and Curtis Murphy Jr.
