Nancy Carolyn Thompson, age 75, passed away at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 13, 2021.
Carolyn was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, on October 23, 1945, to the late Joe Franklin Hardin, Sr., and Annie Travis Hardin. She was a retired real estate agent.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Thompson; and brothers, Joe Franklin Hardin, Jr., Doyle Hardin, and Grady Hardin.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Thompson, Steve Thompson (Glinda), and Tim Thompson; brother, David Hardin; grandchildren, Ciara Thompson, Kristen Thompson, Steve Thompson (Savannah), and T.J. Thompson; and one great-grandson, Ryan Stone.
Funeral service will be Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Wayne George officiating. Visitation will be Sunday before the service from 12noon until service hour of 2 pm. Following the service, Carolyn chose cremation.
