OBITUARY: Rebecca Fae Bean

Rebecca Fae Bean, age 73, born April 8, 1952, of Ashland City, passed away on Friday, June 6th, 2025.

Fae spent her career and much of her life as a caregiver; always ready to help family, friends, acquaintances or strangers.

Fae was preceded in death by her parents, Dora Ann Allen and Sammie Lee Bean; siblings, Brenda (Tommy) Majors and David Lee Bean; as well as her 1st husband – and friend again near the end – Robert Craft, her 2nd husband, Mike Gobin, with whom she traveled to 27 of the US States while he was employed as a Programmer in the Navy, and her long-time partner of more than 25 years, Wayne Lauper, whom she missed tremendously after his passing in 2017, along with numerous other loved ones and friends.

Fae is survived by her children Rebecca Craft, Glenda (Chris) Smith, Travis (Lynn) Craft and her extra daughter Regina Sharpe; by her grandchildren who loved her so very much – Shane Craft, Alexis “Ally” Greer, Christopher Smith, Charlotte (Sid) Boehms, Savannah (Will) Jensen, Cameron (Katie Curry) Smith, Landon Craft, Mary Patience Craft and Ande Ford; and by her “adoring” great grandchildren Chase Greer, Piper Boehms, Weston Boehms, Cooper Boehms, Raven Boehms, Saylor Curry, Sebastian Smith and Sterling Smith; by her loving Aunt Sue who was like a second Mom; by her sister-in-law and forever friend Sissy Bean; by her kind neighbor Barbara, and by her dearly loved very special best friend for the past 8 years, Betty Arrington. There are not enough words to express how special a person Betty Arrington is.

Fae is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and so many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN 37015 at 2 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2025. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4 PM – 8 PM, and Thursday, May 12, 2025 from 10 AM till time of service.
