Robert “Bobby” Leslie Lovell, Jr., age 82, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Robert Leslie, Sr, and Thelma Irene (Hooper) Lovell.
He was a graduate of Cheatham County High School Class of 1958 and a retired purchasing manager for A.O. Smith (formerly State Industries).
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his daughter, Cindy Smith and her husband David; son, Darryl Lovell and his wife Diana; brother, Harold Lovell; sister, Peggy Talley and her husband W.A.; grandchildren, Blake Lovell (Courtney), Savannah Wills (Austin), Nicole Dugan (Nick), Austin Pike, and Kyle Smith (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Wesley Wills, Lainey Wills, Luke Lovell, Harleigh Ragsdale, Jackson Ragsdale, Bentley Ragsdale and Easton Dugan.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Jimmy Harden officiating. Burial will follow in Lovell Family Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6th from 12 noon until 7 pm and on Wednesday before the service from 10 am until service hour of 1 pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stan Lovell, Luke Wyatt, Orlandus Majors, Kevin Talley, Kyle Smith, Nick Dugan, Randy Perry, and Andy Wilkinson. The family will accept flowers or donations to Safe Haven Cheatham County.
