Robin “Daryl” Hamby, age 62, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
He was born in Peoria, Illinois, on April 2, 1962, to George Oswald Hamby and Willadean (Trapp) Hamby. He loved to fish. He worked in home building and commercial construction.
Daryl is preceded in death by his father, George Oswald Hamby; and sister, Sheila Hamby. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa (Taylor) Hamby; son, Justin Hamby (Jennifer Gossage); daughter, Kristie Newland; brothers, Randy Hamby, Ronnie Hamby, and Roger Hamby; sister, Regina Jernigan; grandchildren, Kailey Newland and Cheyenne Newland; and his cat, Harley.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Scott Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery in Chapmansboro, Tennessee.
Visitation will be the same day from 10am until the service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Hamby, Sean Cotton, Ronnie Hamby, Roger Hamby, Travis Newland, and Kenny Blair. Trent Newland will be an honorary pallbearer.
