Roger Lee Jackson was born in Ashland City on July 2, 1957. He passed away peacefully at his home on November 28, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Beatrice Jackson, Brothers; George, Billy and Terry Jackson, Sisters; Shirley York, Eunice Melton and Fay Nichols.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Robin Jackson, his son, Joshua (Christina) Jackson and daughters Abby (Justin) Short and Lakin Jackson, his grandchildren, Kendrick and Mary Ella Short, his sisters Judy Lindsey and Anita (John) Kokoski.

Roger was a devoted family man, friend, mentor and father figure to many. He took pride in his job of 43 years at Power Equipment. He is a member of Ashland City Free Will Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and Sunday School Superintendent.

He later attended Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View. He served on the Ashland City Council for 10 years. Roger was a devout Christian, and an honest hardworking man who will be missed dearly.

He will be laid to rest on his family farm at Cooper Gupton Cemetery.

The funeral service will be held at the Cheatham County Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1st at 1 PM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30th from 2 PM until 7 PM and on Thursday from 10 AM until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers are Kendrick Short, Kris Justice, Ty Knight, Matt Waldron, Burt Adcock, Darrell Melton, Steve Gafford and Bob Gupton.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Luster, Joe Tant, Matthew Spence, Steve Allen, Roger Allen, Ben Sparks, Jeff Walker, Shawn Robins, Jacky Chumney, Gary Dorris, Robbie Allen, Wayne White, Rick Mattingly, Roy Williamson and Brent Stacy.
