Roy Douglass Biggs, Sr., age 81, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on January 2, 2026.
He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on October 12, 1944, to the late Joe C. Biggs and Serena Travis Biggs.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Biggs; son, Roy Douglass Biggs, Jr.; brothers, Richard Biggs, Joe Biggs and John Biggs; and sisters, Sue Dunn, Nancy Sanders, Shirley Louallen, and Audrey Comperry.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Sonya Basler (Doug) and Karen Demidio; grandchildren, Jessica Demidio (Shane), Doug Demidio (Rita), D.J. (Alyssa) Basler, Dustyn Basler, Brittany Cramer (Donny), and Christine Grissom; and bonus great grandchildren, Kaiden and Hudson Cramer, Allysa Boll, Arkham Grissom, Melinda Grissom, Kaylee Denney, and Josie Wood; brothers, B.F. Biggs (Effie), Fred (Pat) Biggs and Glenn Biggs; and in-laws, Ernest and Yvonne Ross.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Joyce Clark and Chris Elder officiating.
Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC in Pleasant View, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2026, from 12noon until 7pm and continue on Tuesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
Serving as active pallbearers will be D.J. Basler, Dustyn Basler, Doug Demidio, Tarron Biggs, Sonny Nicholson, Kaiden Cramer, Hudson Cramer and Arkham Grissom.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hudgens, Freddie Biggs, Roy T. Biggs, Jody Biggs, Wayne Biggs, Ricky Nicholson, Andy Biggs, and Donnie Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
