She faithfully attended Gateway Assembly Church in Ashland City with her husband, Houston, until his passing in 2016. Ruth was an excellent cook and found great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen sharing food and fellowship with the people she loved.
Ruth adored her grandchildren and was a constant presence in their lives, often serving as a second mother to them while they were growing up. She also shared a special bond with her granddog, Maggie, whom she lovingly helped care for after Houston’s passing.
She enjoyed watching her flower beds bloom and took simple pleasure in watching the red birds visit the feeders outside her window. These quiet moments brought her great peace.
Ruth will be remembered for her kindness, her generous heart, and the love she shared so freely with her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
