Shanika LaShell Tarpley, age 36, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on January 19, 2025, at home.
Shanika was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 14, 1988.
She was a graduate of Sycamore High School, Class of 2006, and a Morning Manager at Sonic Drive-In in Ashland City. She was a Jeeper, country girl, duck hunter who loved camping and going to parks. Her nieces and nephew were her life.
She is survived by her parents, Raymond Anderson Jr. and Cynthia Ann Woelk Tarpley; boyfriend, Dustin Calhoun; sister, Shauna Walsh (Adam Donegan); brother, Raymond “Tray” Anderson, III; nieces/nephew, Kendall Ingle, Jaydn Walsh, Maddy Donegan, Journey Neal and Rileigh Donegan.
Funeral service for Shanika will be Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Zach Vickery officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22 from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Thursday before the service from 10 am until service hour of 1 pm. Pallbearers will be Adam Donegan, Tray Anderson, Jaydn Walsh, Dustin Calhoun, Bobby Smith, and Charles Woelk.
