Sidney Fred Anderson passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, he was 80 years old.
He was born in Fairview, Tennessee on March 23, 1942.
He worked for State Industries as a personnel/plant supervisor for 44 years and served his country in the United States Army.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pauline (Caruthers) Anderson; brothers, Allen Anderson, Gilbert Anderson, and Wilson Anderson; and sister, Maxine Anderson-Norvell.
He is survived by his wife of over 51 years Margaret (Dotson) Anderson; sons, Phil Parker (Tammy) and Michael Parker (Sonia); daughters, Mickey White and Gail French; brothers, Johnny Anderson (Shirley), Michael Anderson (Carla), and Bobby Anderson (Tonya); sisters, Evelyn Sullivan and Elise Pewitt; grandchildren, Shane French, Patrick Parker (Kelsey), Ethan Parker, Nicole Crowder (Jim), Emily Carney, and Christina Jackson (Josh); and great-grandchildren, Tyler Crowder, Owen Carney, Cameron Carney, Asa Parker, Cailee Carney, and Catie Carney.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 3, 2022, at 1 pm in the chapel with Andrew Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Old New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairview, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2 pm to 8 pm and Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10 am until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane French, Patrick Parker, Ethan Parker, Josh Jackson, Tyler Crowder, and Jim Crowder. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron and Owen Carney.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
