Sue Ann Balthrop of Ashland City passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 87. Mrs. Balthrop was preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Louise Shivers, and her brother; Kenneth Shivers. She is survived by her sons; Robert E. Newland (Anna), and Kevin S. Newland (Becky), brothers; Bobby Shivers, and Michael Shivers (Sue), sisters; Wilmatean Smock and Linda Green, Grandchildren; Jessica Knox (Nick), John Daniel Newland (Kayla), Elizabeth, Michael, Jacob, and Abigail Newland, great-grandchildren; Aubrey and Kimberly Knox, and Malachi and Mackenzie Newland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10 AM till 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN 37015, and the Funeral Service to begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, 1712 Hwy 12 N., Ashland City, TN 37015.
