William E. Bailey, Sr., 80, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
He was born in West Nashville on March 25, 1944, to the late Jesse and Ressie Wiley Bailey.
He was a graduate of Cohn High School. William was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and catching gators. He enjoyed music, dancing, and making people laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Above all, he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Jean Bailey; son, William Bailey, Jr.; sister, Frances Bass; and granddaughter, Myleah Bailey.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Francina; children, Ranae Bailey, Kevin (Rosie) Bailey, and Jesse (Angie) Bailey; stepchildren, Joanna (Jeremy) White and James (Jessica) Eason; and a host of beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at West Harpeth. https://www.westharpethfh.com
