Petsense by Tractor Supply will host its annual Fall Adoptathon Saturday, October 3, bringing adoptable pets from local shelters and rescue organizations into participating stores across the country.
The event will take place Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature adoptable dogs, cats and small animals. Participating Petsense stores nationwide will host the event.
Petsense by Tractor Supply has set a goal of 1,200 adoptions for this fall’s event. Since 2005, Petsense has supported more than 223,000 pet adoptions through its in-store Sav-A-Pet centers and nationwide adoption events. This year’s event is supported by pet care brands including Champion, Stella & Chewy’s, Tomlyn/Vetoquinol, Frontline, Fromm, Petmate and Purina.
“Every Adoptathon is a reminder of what’s possible when a community shows up for shelter animals,” said Shawn Blankenship, Vice President of Petsense by Tractor Supply. “Our local shelter and rescue partners do incredible work year-round, and this event gives families a chance to meet adoptable pets right in their neighborhood store. We want every new pet parent to leave with the support, guidance and savings they need, on adoption day and every day after.”
People interested in adopting should bring a valid photo ID. Adoption requirements and fees will vary by shelter or rescue organization.
