IT FINALLY HAPPENED! After 42 consecutive drawings without a winner, the historic Powerball drought is officially over! Two incredibly lucky tickets – one sold in Missouri and one in Texas – matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s drawing to split the massive $1.787 billion jackpot, making it the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history! The winning streak that captivated the entire nation has finally come to an end in the most spectacular way possible.

Saturday’s Winning Drawing Results

Saturday’s historic Powerball drawing on September 6, 2025 featured the life-changing jackpot of $1.787 billion with a cash value of $820.6 million. The winning Powerball numbers were 11, 23, 44, 61, 62, and the Powerball was 17. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

The two winning tickets will each receive $893.5 million if they choose the 30-year annuity option, or $410.3 million each if they take the lump sum cash payout. Most Powerball winners choose the cash option, so these two lucky winners are looking at over $400 million each before taxes – still enough to change not just their lives, but their families’ lives for generations!

Even though the jackpot was won, there were still plenty of other big winners! Fourteen additional players matched all five regular numbers to win $1 million each, with tickets sold in multiple states. Two players in Kansas and Texas added the Power Play option and doubled their winnings to $2 million each. That’s $16 million in total secondary prizes – not bad for a “consolation” prize!
