A large police presence is underway at the federal courthouse in downtown Nashville following a report of a shooting, WSMV reports.
Authorities responded to the Fred D. Thompson Federal Building & Courthouse at 719 Church St Thursday morning. The Nashville Downtown Public Library nearby has been evacuated as authorities work the scene.
MNPD said the incident occurred on federal property, meaning federal authorities will handle the investigation.
Police has not released any information at this time.
