A vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day out of Cheatham County was recovered Monday night after officers spotted it entering Interstate 40 in Lebanon.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, the stolen Mazda 3 was flagged through the SafeNet alert system. Officers located the vehicle as it merged onto I-40 eastbound and conducted a traffic stop at the on-ramp.
Police said the driver was identified as a runaway 17-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and is facing multiple charges.
