Bishop Takes Over
Trailing 7-3 at halftime, Tennessee took control in the third quarter. Bishop scored from 25 yards out, then broke a 44-yard touchdown run one snap after a Dejuan Lane interception. The Vols finished with 237 rushing yards.

Defense Seals It
Auburn cut the lead to 17-14 early in the fourth quarter, but Tennessee stopped the Tigers on fourth-and-1 and Bishop scored from 5 yards out to make it 24-14. Tevis Metcalf’s interception at the 1-yard line ended Auburn’s final threat. Lane added nine tackles and two sacks as the Vols forced three turnovers.
