The Andrew Jackson Foundation has opened a new satellite location at Marathon Village in Nashville called Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Tickets and Tours. More Local Living News

Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Tickets and Tours is designed to introduce visitors to the history of The Hermitage and the people who lived and were enslaved there, while also serving as a place to purchase tickets for tours, special events and other experiences at the historic site.

The new location includes educational displays, curated merchandise and a viewing area for the film Andrew Jackson: Perspectives, which features historians Jon Meacham and Daniel Feller discussing Jackson’s life, presidency and legacy.

“The opening of this new satellite location is an exciting step forward in our mission to educate people about The Hermitage and the legacy of America’s seventh president,” said Jason Zajac, president and CEO of the Andrew Jackson Foundation. “By expanding our presence beyond Hermitage and into Nashville, we can connect with new audiences where they are.”

The store’s exhibits are organized around questions intended to encourage visitors to explore different aspects of The Hermitage’s history, including its development from a frontier farm into a plantation shaped by the Jackson family, enslaved people and others who lived and worked on the property.

The Marathon Village location will also host educational and entertainment events, including duel reenactments and historical character portrayals.

The space maintains several features of the historic Marathon Village building, including its original wood floors, ceilings, pillars, exposed brick and large steel windows.

The location is located at 1200 Clinton Street, Suite 38, Nashville, TN 37203. It is open from 9am to 5 pm daily.
