Clear your calendar and grab your cowbell – The Nashville Fair is back Sept. 5-14 at the Nashville Fairgrounds!  With its “Now With More Cowbell!” theme, the fair will feature new attractions, fun farm exhibits, competitions and thrilling rides.

Entrance gates are open to purchase admission Monday-Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The fair is open each night until 11 p.m.

From high-flying aerialists to racing pigs, there’s something for everyone at The Nashville Fair! Here’s a taste of what’s in store:

  • Farm Fun: Livestock shows, farm animals, goat gym, duck races, soil tunnel, butterfly house, and honey and pollination exhibits. Nashville’s sports mascots will lead the crowd during the milking competition between Nashville’s top media personalities (Thursday, Sept. 11, 7 p.m.). The Milk Bar will teach visitors how to milk a cow and hand out free glasses of fresh milk.
  • Competitions: First-ever “Fairest of the Fair” pageant, second annual cosplay competition, creative arts and culinary contests, Nashville hot chicken and ice cream eating contests.
  • Shows and Spectacles: The Legends of Monster Truck shows, murder mystery dinner shows, aerialist dinner show, comedy show, The Living Zultar, Lucha Libre wrestling matches, live music on three stages, ventriloquist, live science experiments, cooking shows, and VR and humanoid robot demos.
  • Food and Drink: Try treats from the international food market, hot beef sundaes, and an assortment of fried desserts along with traditional fair food. The BuckShee Brew Fest on Wednesday, Sept. 10, will serve free craft beer to guests 21+.
  • Festival of the Nations and El Jefè Day: Enjoy performances and food from around the world such as Afrokokoroots, Irish dancing, Mexican folk dancing, Bethel youth singers, break dancers and more.

Plan a visit:

  • Tickets: Discounted tickets can be purchased online through Sept. 4. Individual fair admission tickets, 4-pack bundles, and unlimited ride wristbands are available. Children age 5 and under get in free, and those under 18-years-old must be accompanied by an adult. Each Metro Nashville Public School student will receive one ticket for free weekday entry.
  • Transportation: On-site parking is $10 per vehicle in lots off of Wedgewood Avenue and Craighead Street. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. There is a WeGo bus stop right outside the fairgrounds on Nolensville Pike. (Media parking is at the fairgrounds entrance at 1815 Nolensville Pike with badge/ID.)
  • Safety: While clear bags are not required, the Nashville Fair reserves the right to search bags upon entry. Security personnel wand all guests as they enter the fair.
  • Payments: Many vendors accept cash only, and there is an on-site ATM.
  • Sensory Day/Accommodations: On Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., flashing lights, songs and sound effects will be muted to allow guests to enjoy a toned-down version of the fair. There is also a sensory space available all 10 days of the fair so that those experiencing sensory overload can take a break in an indoor, air-conditioned area that includes fidget toys and padded flooring.
