Last month, Cheatham County authorities arrested three individuals following a incident involving an armed motorcyclist, WKRN reports. On August 4, the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a driver who reported being pursued and threatened by a motorcyclist with a gun. Deputies responded by setting up at Orange’s Market on Bearwallow Road in Ashland City, based on the victim’s location.
According to News 2, a black pickup truck arrived at the convenience store with a red and white Harley Davidson motorcycle reportedly on its bumper. When deputies attempted to stop the motorcycle, driver, Trace Davis, fled the area and prompted a chase that continued for several miles before being called off due to safety concerns.
Law enforcement continued their investigation by interviewing a witness who described seeing aggressive riding behavior but did not observe a weapon. They also spoke with the victim, a 54-year-old truck driver, who mentioned having a prior issue with the motorcyclist and detailed how he had been chased for miles, starting in Davidson County.
Deputies then surrounded a camper believed to be linked to the suspect. As they approached, a man jumped from a rear window and fled into the woods.
The fleeing individual was later identified as 31-year-old James Tyler Pridemore, who denied involvement but was found with a revolver. Pridemore, an ex-convict, had a history of criminal activities in Nashville, including vehicle theft and assault, News 2 confirmed. Pridemore was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting arrest.
In addition, deputies discovered a woman in the camper with outstanding warrants from Robertson County and also located Davis, who admitted to the motorcycle chase. Davis was charged with aggravated assault and evading arrest. Details about the woman’s arrest remain undisclosed.
