The recall covers only one lot of frozen Organic Mixed Berry Blend, SKU 97765. You can identify the recalled bags by the following codes printed on the package:
- Best Before 02/20/2028
- CF 6 051 01-5
- Product of Chile
Bags with a different Best Before date or lot code are not part of this recall.
States Where the Recalled Berries Were Sold
The affected lot was sold at Trader Joe’s stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. In Pennsylvania, the recall applies only to stores in the Pittsburgh area.
No Illnesses Reported
Trader Joe’s said the recall was issued out of caution and that no illnesses linked to this product had been reported. The company also said the regulatory investigations were closed and it did not expect any further expansion of the recall to Trader Joe’s products.
What to Do With Recalled Berries
If you have a bag of Organic Mixed Berry Blend with the matching code date and bought it in one of the listed states, don’t eat it. You can throw the product away or bring it back to any Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
