The City of Ashland City has launched a new online permitting portal that allows residents, contractors, builders and developers to submit building permit and Planning Commission applications electronically.
The new system allows users to apply from anywhere, upload plans and other required documents, track application status and communicate with city staff without having to submit paperwork in person.
The portal can be used for projects including new homes, commercial developments, renovations, additions, rezoning requests, subdivisions, site plans, sign permits and temporary banner permits.
Paper applications will remain available at City Hall and on the city’s website, but Ashland City is encouraging residents and businesses to use the online system to help speed up the review process and provide easier access to application updates.
