Wilson County Emergency Management Agency has welcomed a new four-legged member to its team!
Mazie is a certified First Responder Therapy Dog who will visit WEMA stations and attend trainings when her schedule allows. Her role is to provide comfort, boost morale and bring some extra joy to first responders who spend their days serving the community.
Mazie’s handler, Kim, has also completed specialized training to help Mazie succeed in her new role.
The agency has also created Mazie an Instagram account so you can keep up with her work.
“Keep an eye out, you never know when Mazie might show up!” the agency said on Facebook. “Welcome to the WEMA family, Mazie! We are so happy to have you!”
