Kenneth Dorris “Kenny” Balthrop, age 65 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.
Mr. Balthrop was born on April 13, 1958 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Dorris & Lila Bell Hunt Balthrop.
He was a 1976 graduate of Springfield High School and worked at Electrolux for over 20 years. He was also the owner and operator of Southwind Farm in the Gause Community. He was a member of Heads Free Will Baptist Church. In his free time, Kenny loved to travel. He also loved to conversate with friends and family while having a good meal.
Survivors include his aunts, Faye Murphey, Bonnie Moore, Dimple Balthrop, and Rosa Balthrop; numerous loving cousins; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Tennessee at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8th, with Bro. Randy Hester officiating. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham with Preston Murphey, Anthony Moore, Keith Gupton, Clay Balthrop, Mike Stokes, and Josh Pulley serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
