Ralph-F.-Easley

Ralph F. Easley passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.

Born in the Pond community of Dickson County, Ralph was the son of the late Roy and Clara England Easley.

He graduated from the former Dickson High School (Class of 1958) and later received the training and certification to become an Electronics Engineer. Ralph served his country in the Tennessee National Guard. His electronics background afforded him many job opportunities with Comcast and many television stations and programs.

Ralph fulfilled a very popular role as “Santa Claus” in Dickson and Middle Tennessee. His sparkling eyes, his pleasant demeanor, his jolly disposition, his full, snow-white beard, and his genuine love of children made him a favorite with people of all ages.

He also portrayed old pioneer-western characters and biblical characters for television and promotional advertising. Ralph also worked as a “deejay” for WDKN Radio. Some of the production companies he worked for were the Renaissance Center, Jim Owens and Associates, Steve Hall Productions, WSMV-TV, The Nashville Network’s “Nashville Now”, TNN’s “Crook and Chase” TV Show, January and Associates, and many TV and radio advertising spots.

Many in the Dickson area will remember him as host for a local cooking show, “The Dinner Bell,” a Renaissance production. He was a former long-time member of Dickson First Methodist Church and currently a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Easley Byars.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 67 years, Virginia Weems Easley of Pleasant View; his son, Anthony “Tony” Ralph Easley (Patti) of Pleasant View; grandchildren, Keaton Byars (Amanda), Caleb Byars (Phoebe), Andrea Easley Thomason (Jason), Erika Easley Shirer (JayT), and Tarah Easley Perry (John); and great-grandchildren, Trevor Thomason (Alli), Charlie Thomason, Hazen Shirer, Sophie Stuart, Maddox Stuart, John “J.P.” Perry, and Jed Perry.
