Roy Gaylon Binkley, Sr., age 78, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, preceded his wife in death on Monday, October 11, 2021. His wife, Sandra Kay, age 73, followed him in death on Wednesday, October 20th.
Funeral services for both will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Sunday, October 24, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Pastor Joey Myers and Randy Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery with Tim Binkley, Michael Perry, Eric Derossett, Lamont Collier, Randy Rives, and Robert Hester serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 23rd, from 3-8 PM and again on Sunday from 12:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM.
Mr. Binkley was born in Pleasant View, Tennessee on August 20, 1943 to the late George Washington & Edna Mae Knox Binkley. He owned his own sign painting business and retired after 40 years in the boating industry. He loved horses, loved the outdoors, and loved working in the lawn care business. He loved his family, mostly his grandkids and great-grandchild.
Mrs. Sandra was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 1, 1948 to the late James Albert, Sr. & Mable Ellis Haddock Clark. She retired after 40 years in the boating industry. She was in charge of her local Neighborhood Watch program. Mrs. Binkley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild dearly.
Mr. & Mrs. Binkley were married for 56 years and were both members of Liberty Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Binkley is preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Fay Rives. He is survived by brother, Bob (Bonnie) Heflin; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Binkley is preceded in death by brother, James A. Clark, Jr. She is survived by brother, David L. Clark; and sisters, Shirley Binkley, and Pat (George) Patterson; and many nieces & nephews.
Additional survivors include sons, Roy Binkley, Jr. and Tim (Teresa) Binkley; daughter, Cindy (Michael) Perry; grandchildren, Tiffany (Eric) Derossett, Coral Perry, and Taylor Binkley; and great-grandchild, Lucas Derossett.
