Russell “Russ” Eugene Taylor, age 75, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Russ was born on June 29, 1949, in Boulder, Colorado, to the late Eugene Merl and Iris Jane (Spoon) Taylor.
Russ’ hobby was studying the Bible. He was a certified electrician and a director in maintenance at Cumberland Heights for many years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Russ is preceded in death by his parents and stepdaughter, Lori Burton. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rita (Hutton) Taylor; children, Tiffani Clark and husband Randell, Fawn Dees and husband Scott, Thomas Taylor and James Taylor and wife Kaitlin; step-son, Ray Adcock and wife Jolene; step-daughter, Amy Adcock White; grandchildren, Dylan Clark, Taylor Bryant and husband Travis, Kennedy Clark, Blayne Clark, Meranda Burton, Tucker Adcock, Ryan Adcock, Kimberly Burton, and Carmen Highers; and siblings, Janie Larson and husband Gary, Kenneth Taylor and Gene Taylor and wife Cathy; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Russ will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Ashland City Free Will Baptist Church in Ashland City, Tennessee, with Brother Wayne Bess, Pastor Kenny Hix and Bart Pemberton officiating.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday before the service from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Russ’s wishes were to be cremated.
