Travis “Neal” Ray, age 79, passed away on September 11, 2021, at his residence in Cheatham County, Tennessee.
Neal was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on March 22, 1942.
He was a welder at State Industries for many years.
Neal is preceded in death by his parents, Woodson and Audie Staggs Ray; brothers, Howard Ray, Paul Ray, Raymond Ray, Jimmy Ray, Billy Ray, and Sammy Ray; sisters, Joyce Black, and Edith Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Sue Ray; son, Dale Ray (Brenda); daughters, Wanda Hunter (Young) and Pam Lee (Jeremy White); his grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Randy Johnson, Reece Hunter, Lara Hunter (Nick), Kelsey Lacy (Stephen), Harley Lee, and Waylon Lee; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 2 pm in the chapel with Brother Terry Forrest officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15th, from 10 am until the service hour of 2 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Reece Hunter, Tyler Johnson, Nick Hunter, Harley Lee, Waylon Lee, and Jeremy White.
