The recent winter storm continues to cause school closures across the middle Tennessee area. Here are the latest school closures.

Cheatham County School
The Cheatham County School District will remain closed on Friday, February 6.
We had truly hoped to reopen schools on Friday. Unfortunately, many secondary roads and school campuses remain unsafe for travel, creating safety concerns for our buses, student drivers, staff, and families.
Our extended daycare program will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and daycare students will need to bring a lunch.
Communication regarding athletic games and practices will be shared directly with athletic directors and coaches.
We are still awaiting approval from the Tennessee Department of Education for a waiver on Friday due to the exhaustion of our stockpile days. We will treat Friday’s closure as an inclement weather day and not a virtual learning day.
We want to acknowledge how challenging this extended closure has been for many of our families. We know that balancing work, childcare and daily routines during an unexpected two week closure is no small task, and we are deeply grateful for your patience and flexibility.
As the temperatures start to rise and the ice melts, we’re looking forward to having everyone back in school and returning to our regular routines of learning and connection. We plan to reopen on Monday, February 9.
As we return to school next week, there will be a calendar change for Wednesday, February 11. This day will now be a FULL day for students. It was originally scheduled as an early dismissal day.
Our schools will still be closed on Monday, February 16 in observance of Presidents Day.
Dickson County Schools
Due to continued icy road conditions and low temperatures, the Dickson County School System will remain closed Friday, February 6th. Our inclement weather childcare sites (SBES and OES) will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please complete this form if your child needs to attend one of these sites. https://forms.gle/Q7Ha3zsBis6etmym8
Robertson County Schools
As we have seen little to no improvement in road conditions throughout the county, Robertson County Schools will be closed on Friday, February 6.
We do appreciate your support and patience throughout these days. Based on the weather forecast, we anticipate being back in school on Monday, February 9, on a regular schedule.
