The Transfer Ready Campus Designation is open to public and private nonprofit colleges that demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for students transferring credits between institutions.

To qualify, colleges must meet criteria for transferring credits efficiently, creating clear transfer pathways, helping students navigate the process and providing academic and financial support. Institutions must also train faculty and staff to assist transfer students and use student feedback and data to improve transfer policies.

“The Transfer Ready Campus designation assures that transfer students in Tennessee are entering an environment that fosters their sense of belonging and offers the necessary support and resources for their success,” said Dr. Tracy Comer, THEC senior director of Transfer and Veteran Initiatives.

The initiative builds on Tennessee’s Higher Education Master Plan and aims to help students make informed decisions when choosing where to continue their education.

Colleges interested in the designation can review the criteria and application process on the Transfer Ready Campus webpage.
