A busy week with deputies responding to all sorts of calls, including things-n-such, When more people move in, more calls for service are requested. We walk into so many sad things on any given day, but that’s what we signed up for.

BURGER KING’S OPPOSITION: A conflicted customer got into a telephonic argument with the BK manager.(allegedly over his Whopper not being big enough). This manager most likely offered to exchange the complainants “not big enough whopper” for their famous “spicy nuggets!” A nugget exchange turned ugly, resulting in a Cheatham Lawman intervention.

LAWMAN’S CALL: The customer continued complaining about his whopper problem, accusing the shift manager of being a “quarter-pounded racist:”. As the complainer ranted and droned, he refused to listen to the deputies calm reasoning, The caller had to be hung up on while his whopper gently weeps.

AUSTIN BISHOP (Pic): is wanted for Aggravated assault and kidnapping along with theft over $1000,00. Any information on his whereabouts can be reported to Cheatham Dispatch, 615-792-2098.

A burglary call turned out to be the great grease gun caper, allegedly stolen out of a dump truck. A dump truck owner accused an ex-employee of stealing their most favorite lubricator. The person of interest was questioned and stated he possessed said grease gun for several months after the owner left it at his house. The gun was properly returned and empty of Uber Luber.

The weary traveler showed up at the sheriff’s office reporting a lost tag. He stated the plate was lost or stolen somewhere between California and Tennessee. A nationwide search was immediately requested. Suspicious persons this week were reported on Poplar Ridge, The business presently known as “Boarders”, Old Clarksville Creek, Barking Cow Court, Abernathy and also, Skyline Drive.

The train traveling through Kingston and Pegram apparently broke down. The little engine that could caused many to be slowed, delayed, stopped and very peed off. Could have been worse. No propane gas leaks, explosions or nuclear meltdowns, thank goodness.

Calls of suicide attempts, attempted thefts, arguments that neither parties won, cats fighting cats, armadillos invading and many requests for advice and guidance.
All this week, we watched evil in real time and it’s going to continue. A people with a ruthless leader murdering another in masses. It’s so hard to see this evil go unpunished.
Have a safe weekend and cherish the ones around you Team Cheatham.
