Billy Joe Moore, age 65, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
He was born on September 15, 1958, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Joe William Moore and Lorene (Gallaher) Moore.
He was a member of Lillamay Church of Christ. He worked for Nashville Electric Service as a carpenter for 31 years. He loved his farm, woodworking motorcycles, fishing, and hunting.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lorene Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna Mai (Dickson) Moore; son, Joshua Joe Moore (Lauren); daughter, Jennifer Bumpus (Josh); brother, Ricky Dale Moore; sister, Diane “Corkey” Welfel (Mike); grandchildren, Mason Moore, Aiden Moore, Evelyn Moore, Sarah Bumpus, Suzanna Bumpus, John Bumpus, and Catherine Bumpus; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 12, 2024, at 12noon in the Chapel with Joe Jones and Preacher Michael Guy officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm and Monday, August 12, 2024, from 10am until the hour of service at 12noon. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Brach, Johnny Archie, Terry Armstrong, Mason Moore, John Bumpus, and Aiden Moore.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lillamay Church of Christ or Alive Hospice.
