Samuel Pentecost is a Pleasant View native who ran junior varsity for Sycamore last season after transferring.

This fall he will compete as a senior on Sycamore’s cross country team. Pentecost has been running competitively since he was 12 years old.

“I love the team and the awesome things we have been through. My experience has been nothing but amazing. The team has created some very memorable moments throughout our last season and I was very glad to be a part of it,” said Pentecost.

Last September he finished 2nd place in the Warrior Invitational. In other competitions he finished in the top 13 or better at the MSCCA Champion and the John Freeman Invitational. He also posted a time of 19:13 in the 5,000 meters race which is 5th all time in Sycamore school history.
